Republicans need to offer Democrats some help in the form of a Resolution that puts the President and Democrats on the Spot.

As Candidate Obama said himself,

“Shame is a useful Emotion to get People to do the Right thing.”

 The Resolution should List the Misstatements of Fact that have been made by the President and others.

 Paul Ryan and Others have already spoken about many of these things.  What is most important is to spell the points out in PLAIN language that even a Geico Cave Man could understand it.

Spell out plainly what the Truth is:  Regarding the Four C’s:

 Cost – Control – Constitution – Consequences.

 I. Cost.

 The numbers in terms of smoke and mirror accounting by manipulating the CBO process to hide the real cost.[i]

The fact of where our economy is, we cannot afford to borrow any more nor burden already struggling companies with more costs.

 The biggest cost is the Loss of Our Freedom.

II. Control.

 Not necessarily from a Government Control over the People standpoint, although that is an important aspect.[ii]

 Control from the standpoint of Centralized vs. Decentralized control.[iii]  From a practical standpoint, just think for a moment of the scale of our whole Health Care System.[iv]

 III. Constitution.

 Mark R. Levin and Landmark Legal Foundation leads the way on this one. As a layperson, I will summarize here by saying:

 Congress cannot violate Article 1 Section 7 with regard to the Process of how a Bill becomes Law.[v]

The Tenth Amendment[vi] is nonspecific and general by Design and the Words are clear:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

IV. Consequences.

 Many say they don’t know the consequences until it’s implemented as expressed by the Speaker’s comment, “We won’t know what’s in the Bill until we pass the Bill.”[vii] 

 If you are not aware of the consequences, intended or unintended, of your YES vote – YOU NEED TO VOTE NO!

 As the lawyers have included more precise language in manuals to assign Proper Responsibility – a key word is “understand” –

Please read and understand before operating. 

 Democrats likewise should read and understand the Resolution before voting because their vote cast is done with their Full Knowledge and Responsibility.  The final choice is up to you.

From conception to death, what is the average cost per person for heathcare?

Don’t be embarrassed if you don’t know the answer – I don’t know the answer but I think it’s a fundamental question that we need to spend a little time with, to find real solutions to our healthcare problems.

You could make a few calls, do some calculations, grab a number and rush to vote – the number is NOT the point, it’s about stopping the Pushing of an Agenda.  

 [ii] Michele Bachman has sited the number additional IRS agents that will be hired and the cost to enforce the monthly Government requirements on ALL Americans – even those with Private insurance.

[iii] In terms trying to implement and impose a Progressive based system and how decisions would be made using the scarce resources of Government. Simply site the Hillsdale College February 2010 Article of Imprimis by Paul Ryan.

 My two cents about Common Sense and why Centralized HC makes no sense:

 Just because some people have burned their toast, doesn’t mean the Best Solution is to connect all toasters to Washington.  The question is not: Can we do it? – the most important question is: Should we do it?

 Even if we connect all the toasters to Washington, it’s still about making toast and like the delivery of Health Care, when it comes right down to it, it’s a local issue. It is about: How I like my toast. When I want to have toast. What kind of and how much toast I want to have. I don’t think I should have to buy toasters for everyone who may not even have a place to plug a toaster in or may not even like toast. Nor do I want to be told I can’t put bagels in my toaster – you get the idea. Continuing with the analogy, it is surprising how the details apply to centralized healthcare – it’s just the costs and consequences are a whole lot greater.

 [iv] How crazy is it to centralize control of every single healthcare step, line item, decision and cost – from brain surgery to tongue depressors – and put that control in Washington?

 What will be the added cost of implementing a system like this and what is the value that will be returned to the American People?

 This does not make sense nor is it even feasible that it can be done, let alone done well.

 Remember the three words: Cash for Clunkers. Look at how the Government managed this transaction simple program and now we want to entrust Government with our whole healthcare system – without so much as a Pilot Program.

 We should just Trust the President and  Democrats when they say:

 “Don’t worry about the details, lets just get this thing passed and we’ll figure out the details on the Fly.” 

 Are you kidding me?

 As the great Jim Rohn might say if he were alive,

 “If you were to make decisions like that a home – we should call someone to come and pick up your family and take them to safety.”

 [v] With regard to Deem and Pass, in spite of how some like to characterize it, the fact is – there is “No Implied Waiver” when it comes to the Constitution; just because there was a wink, wink and a nod in the past, doesn’t mean we can now throw the whole Constitution in the trash.

 That would not make for a real stable foundation to build any Constitution based, civilized Society on. Come on!

[vi] A note regarding Roman Numerals – an X means the Tenth Amendment NOT that it was crossed out and you can ignore it. 

[vii] We have touched on the consequences of implementing an untested hypothetical system on the fly, at a cost that is massive in terms of numbers and lost Freedom.

 Many say we won’t know the consequences until it’s implemented, as expressed by the Speaker’s comment,

“We won’t know what’s in the Bill until we pass the Bill.” 

 Let me ask you:

Would you get on a plane flown by a 14 year old, who could talk a good game and people said he knew how to fly?  Who would say:

 “Oh sure, I’d hop aboard and just trust. Of course I would first talk with him and listen to what he had to say. Then if he sounds like he knows what he’s doing, I’d have no problem. How will I know for sure if he’s telling the Truth until I tried it? I’ll just go ahead and find my seat, put in my ear-buds and hope for the best. I know it will be fine.”

 Crazy!  Change just for Change sake is crazy.  Flying with a 14 year old as your pilot, based on the Hope things will be fine, that’s crazy.  Politics are crazy but it is the responsibility of Politicians to navigate the craziness, think and make the Best Change!

 Tough Decisions Before.

 As a Country, we have faced tough decisions before and we have done the right thing; I trust that the Issue before Members of Congress will be no different. 

It is amazing how the words of Alexander Hamilton, written more than 200 years ago in Federalist No. 1 still apply today:  

 “The subject speaks its own importance; comprehending in its consequences nothing less than the existence of the UNION, the safety and welfare of the parts of which it is composed, the fate of an empire in many respects the most interesting in the world.”

 Regarding the Intentions of those on either side of the Health Care Debate – paraphrasing the words of Alexander Hamilton:

 I have known many good and wise on the wrong side of an issue and likewise – I have known those who are right yet hold the wrong intentions – let us put all that aside and discuss the matter that is before us.

 How We got Here.

 How we got here is most likely because we placed Our Trust in things untrustworthy. Proper placement of Trust is a discussion for another day.

 Suffice it to say that ice, thick or thin, looks much the same on the Surface. Though, once we hear a crack and find ourselves on thin ice – it matters not how we got there, but let us get back on solid ground.

 A simple way to explain how we are often lead astray, is to consider the famous optical illusion of the young woman and old lady. There are many other examples. Sometimes our mind locks onto one image and can’t see the other. This is called a scotoma or perceptual blind spot.

 A question to ponder is:  How do we know that the things we feel so passionately about are the way that they seem at all – how do we know we aren’t missing something or being misled?

We have to be aware of the tricks our mind can play on ourselves and also the tricks others play on us to get us to buy something, to cast our vote a certain way or whatever.

 Many involved in the Health Care Debate are suffering from an Evidentiary Scotoma – all  the evidence is there but they do not see it.

 These are Critical Times.

 Even in our modern world, some will give up their very lives for the promise of a young woman or many – on the other side. Most haven’t considered: Why is it that those sending others on suicide missions, decline for themselves to go on the journey, if it is so great?  What if a suicide bomber, moments before blowing themselves up, had the chance to see the Truth of what Really is on the other side?  Seeing an old lady instead – what would they decide? To blow themselves up based on a lie?  Of course not.

 The FOX Hit Show 24 – just had an episode where a suicide bomber learned the Truth and was trying to do the right thing, yet the race was on because, those with ill intent could remotely detonate the explosive vest.

 We too face a Critical Situation, where more of us are learning the Truth of what is actually in the thousands of pages of Health Care Legislation and yet the Control is not with us and time is running out.

 I believe it was Wayne Dyer who told this story –

 There once was a wise man who knew all things, who came across another man who tried to trip him up by asking, “Hidden in my hands I hold a little bird.  Tell me wise man, is the bird dead or alive?” The wise man recognized the question as a trick, he knew if he said the bird was dead, the man would open his hands and the bird would fly away;  if he said the bird was alive, the man would crush the bird and it would be dead. With that, the wise man replied, “You hold the Truth in your hands.”

 We don’t know how Democrats will proceed regarding the fate of Our Health Care System, Our Freedom and More. Specifically, do they vote Yes or do they vote No? Reconciliation, Deem and Pass, how will they vote, what will they do? The Truth is in their hands.

 Catch 22 for Wise Men (and Women).

 Democrats are truly in a Catch 22 situation with the decision that is before them:

 If they Vote YES:  They face the wrath of many angry People, a protracted Court battle for Violation of the Constitution Article 1 Section 7 and/or usurping States and Individual Rights under the Tenth Amendment; they can expect many more angry calls and protests directed at them and their staff;  likely no hope of future cooperation from Republicans;  the passing of Legislation that violates their own Principles and that may never be remedied;  the implementing of what is arguably an unworkable, unsustainable centralized solution that neglects to include, even the very basics of Real REFORM.

 If they Vote NO:  Their career and possibly their whole public service life will be dead.  They will not receive any Democratic support and they will be ostracized from the Party. Crossing over to the Republican side probably won’t work for them because of the real and fundamental differences between the Parties, even apart from the Progressive Movement.

 Voting NO also means, like the President has stated: Healthcare Reform will be dead for at least ten more years. I believe he is correct, in light of all the craziness that has surrounded this issue. In the end the People will lose the Real Reforms that we all want.  On the Bright side, I believe as most Citizens believe, Killing the Bill means Our Country and Our Freedom get to Survive – though I realize this Truth is not shared by All.

 There obviously are different Passionate views on both sides.  So, how could we have a Happy Ending to the Story?  You know, an ending where the wise man is still wise; both the bird and the bomber have new life and we all live happily ever after? Well here’s an idea…

 Sticking with our metaphors, Democrats do hold the power in their hands and yet how do we disable the explosive vest without the guys holding the remote detonator, finding out what we are up to? First of all, who are “the guys” on the trigger? They aren’t guys at all – it is the PROCESS itself that is Out of Control.  And CONTROL is precisely what can used – to get Control Back.

 Diffusing the Bomb.

 An Important note to Democrats:

Don’t make any sudden movements, don’t press any buttons and please – don’t Vote just yet.

 First, we have to buy some time, there are many Right reasons for buying time: reviewing CBO numbers, needing time to Read and Review the many pages, wrestling with the Violation of Principles (abortion, special deals, other unacceptable language), Using a Questionable Method to Advance the Bill, thinking about the overwhelming number of negative (even threatening) calls logged from Constituents and Other people, having a Change of Heart or Anything else that fits and is real for you. 

 It’s been said by the President that, if this legislation does not get passed – Health Care Reform won’t get done for 10 or more years. He probably is correct, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

 We should not Force the Wrong Solution, just to have a Solution – with all the Negatives that are attached.

 Why not put the Best Solution in Place?  Where we are NOW is the Perfect place to make this happen. We ALL feel the stress of what is before us.  Let’s use that stress to Force us to the Best Solution. How do we get there?

 I suggest that the House draft a Resolution and submit it for a Vote – along the lines of a Conditional Agreement to Kill the Bill. Contained within it should be a clause similar to the following:

 WARNING: The count-down sequence will continue – if certain conditions are not met!

 Acceptable replacement Legislation must be drafted by a specified time – no Special Deals, no Federal Funding for abortion as a minimum, but then also including: those other things that most Agree are necessary for REAL Reform.

 When it is agreed that the Acceptable Replacement Legislation is drafted and voted upon – the critical detonator wire will be Deemed as being Cut and the Bomb will be diffused. 

We will then have the Real Health Care Reform that we want and We the People inside and outside the Beltway will be a whole lot happier.

 We are up against the Clock here – let’s get this done!

 Where and why they are Wrong involves Six MisSteps they have made.

 These MisSteps are being taken with Health Care Reform but also Cap and Trade and their Other Agenda Items as well. 

This Article describes their Push of Gov Run HC upon us.  Why they are fixated on Health Care I don’t know, but Ronald Reagan gave us a clue.

 Stinky Swamp Attitude.

 Before we get to MisStep #1 A Faulty Foundation – we must first address The Swamp.  You know the Swamp:  the one Democrats were to drain and replace it with Pristine Waters of Honor, Integrity and Transparency.  Well as others have noticed, the Swamp is overflowing and it is as Stinky as ever. How can you build a strong foundation on that?

 The Stinky Swamp Attitude is expressed this way:

We know what’s Best for you People who are uneducated and unaware – the ones we ignore; You are incapable of managing your own life and you need Control, Guidance and Sustenance from us. 

 In other words, THEY are the Power Brokers – the Resource Gatherers, Keepers and Allocators.  In their Arrogance, they Even put Themselves Above their Own Rules, Regulations, Laws and Despotic Controls – that they Seek to Impose on Others.

 Building on that, it’s no wonder their approval is so low and they have so little to show. 

 Hold your nose and let’s take a few missteps through the Stinky Swamp.

 MisStep #1  A Faulty Foundation.

 I too was unaware until last summer when I got a fishy email.  I did my own homework and here’s what I discovered Democrats and the President are attempting to Push on us:

 A Forced Hostile Take Over of Our Entire Health Care System, Restructuring it under a Massive Layer of Government Bureaucracy, Autocratically Administrating it from Washington, Mandating what States and Individuals Must Do, Controlling the Most Personal aspects Our Lives, Subjecting the Delivery of Our Health Care to the Limitations of the Federal Budget and All Based on a Set of Regulations that they themselves are Exempt.

Can’t we end the Article Here?

 Their goal is NOT to REFORM Healthcare – as to improve or optimize;  Their goal is to REFORM it – as to REMAKE it Entirely.  And they’re DOING IT on the FLY.

 Like Cap and Trade they started with a False Premise, a Faulty Foundation and they figured they’d fill in the Data and details as they went along – trying to make their behind closed doors, concocted Dream a Reality.

The Basis for their Whole System does not make Sense. It is not feasible. It is not workable. It is not possible.

 In an upcoming Article: Health Care: All About Control we look at HC Reform not from a Political, but from a PROCESS Viewpoint.  If we were to design the BEST System from Scratch – it would look far different that what is Being Proposed.  A few points:  

 What Structure is Required to Connect All Residents (legal and illegal) and their Bank Accounts (for those who have them) to Washington, DC? One-sixth of Our Nation’s Economy will flow to DC where they apply their Controls and then they Decide where and when to send $ out.

 What are the Number of Line Item Transactions Involved in Our Health Care System? Each line item has multiple and many steps involved and to process, in order to proceed to the next item. Three words to Consider: Cash for Clunkers. 

 What will this Massive Centralized Control System cost and what does it add?  Here’s why a $7 Hammer costs $436 through a Government System. If we ourselves were paying, we would find the best deal, if Government writes the check we still pay, our kids pay and our kids kids pay…

 Imagine even one-tenth of one percent of us having a problem. Who do we call? Imagine 308,000 people waiting on Hold – even the Gov Run HC may be Outsourced to India: “Howw May I hellp you?”

 With HC the False Premise is that Government can run Health Care Better not even considering the most Basic Question:

Is Government even Capable of running HC at all?

 There’s no time to ask that – they are too busy trying to SELL IT.

What happens when an Elected…

-       doesn’t do what they said they would do when they get to Washington?

-       tries to manipulate the Process to Force something upon us – we do not want?

-       abuses their Power so much there isn’t enough time to wait to vote them out?

-       no longer listens to or represents the People who elected them?

Maybe it’s time Voters and States Have a Nuclear Option Too.

Although it might be far better to get rid of the Nuclear Option altogether – after of course we undo all the damage done by Democrats – in the meantime it’s worth investigating how Constitutionally we as Voters can send a louder message to those Elected who choose not to listen to the Ones who Elected them.

Maybe Voters with an Up Down Simple Majority Vote, can have a Redo of an Election or Vote on a Issue Directly – maybe then, those in Washington will get the Message. Democrats could have used this during the last Administration.

This is NOT a Republican Democrat issue – although Democrats now are more out of control than any other Party in our Nation’s history and it is now an Emergency Situation.

Agreeing with this – what can be done NOW? 

Continue to:  Call and Write Congress.  Attend Town Hall Meetings.  Talk to and inform friends, relatives, neighbors and complete strangers about what you know.  Connect people with sources of reliable information. 

Get information from the Main Stream Media and Others but don’t stop there.  Go to the Source of their Information on the Internet directly for yourself to see how they may have “twisted the facts” for whatever reason – remember what you find out and make up your own mind.

Join Twitter and follow others learning about the issues, politely message those who may be mistaken or may have been misled.

Watch out for Skinny Bob (someone who just wants to mess with you and isn’t interested in reasonable discussion).

Make #vsno a Trending Topic on Twitter – I don’t know if anything will change but what I do know is that the White House Press Secretary is new on Twitter and he just might see it and slip a hint to the President who might then tell the Leaders in Congress. It’s worth a try.

One last thing, remember recently when we had Snow in all 50 States and there was a shortage of snow for the Olympics in Vancouver?  Washington was shut down for days yet we still survived. 

Some say it was a message about Global Warming however it wouldn’t matter because most in Washington aren’t getting any messages from us or from Above. 

The Loudest Message sent yet was from the great Voters of Massachusetts and like the DC Blizzard, it was a Historic event. Democrats can continue to ignore or distort what it really meant.

In November however when the #vsno Victory SNO reaches all 50 States – maybe then they will Know!

Most Democrats in Congress have long departed from the Will of the People. They are now manipulating the Rules in order to Force THEIR agenda on us. The Founders by design made it uneasy to pass Legislation and yet the Congress has overruled Them.

It is supposed to take a 3/5ths (60 vote) Majority in the Senate to pass Legislation.  Senators took it upon themselves to lower this number to 51 but only for the purpose of “reconciling” Budget Items – this is why they called it Reconciliation.

When Democrats were in the Minority and Republicans wrongly wanted to use Reconciliation for a broader purpose we heard a different tune – then it was Renamed the Nuclear Option. 

Watch this video and realize what Democrats were so upset about – was the use of the Nuclear Option for the Appointment of a Judge:  

Now Democrats want to use that same Nuclear Option for the Hostile takeover of Our Entire Healthcare System.

Democrats say Americans don’t understand Reconciliation and People are not interested in the “complex inner workings of Congress”.  Democrats again misread the American People who DO UNDERSTAND what Democrats are doing. 

What Democrats are trying to Sell us violates the Ten Amendment of the Constitution, tramples on Individual and State Rights and People just don’t want it.

Democrats are still not listening and because even they know what they’re threatening to do is misuse of the Rules, they had to come up with a new strategy.

What has emerged from their smoky back room?  Surprise – the renaming of Reconciliation again.

Now they want to Call it a… 

“Simple Majority – up or down vote”.

Rename it, repackage it, put some whipped cream and sprinkles on it. We are not going to eat it. Stop wasting time.  Throw out the dog food and lets get serious with REAL REFORM.

Trying to Force Feed us by SIMPLE MAJORITY is SIMPLY WRONG!

Lets revisit the Honest Transparency Promises Made:

 Candidate Obama promised things were going to be different. 

With Healthcare Reform, he was not going to make the same mistake the Clintons made – he was going to enlist the American People in the PROCESS from the Beginning.

 Using a Restaurant Analogy:  Since the American People will have to Eat it for a very long time – They should be Assured that there are no Rats in the Kitchen and that it’s Clean. 

 They should be allowed to choose for themselves what they want to Eat and to Know the Ingredients. They should be able to witness the actual food preparation and the cooking (so that NO back door, special interest ingredients are snuck in).  If they’re not satisfied with the PROCESS, they should not be forced to eat what they are served.

 Some continue to Misunderstand and Misrepresent:  what Honest Transparency is - like it’s an after-the-fact visual  – Only to be Applied – AFTER Our Food is Served.

 So after many months, the American people sit waiting at the ObamaCare Café. The cook places another serving of who knows what onto the counter beneath the heat lamps and annoyedly announces, “Hey your food is done…”

 As the dish makes its way back to Our Table, We already Know – it will be More of the Same. 

 Sure, we’ll spoon though it and notice the unappealing smell – finding once again, it’s not what we ordered at all.  The many distasteful and foreign objects we said we didn’t want are still cooked in and the Freshest Most Important ingredients we said we did want – are still missing.

 Yes once again, we will talk to the server and the cook and finally the Manager – who, with a hand on our shoulder, will publicly lecture us about what’s good for us and eventually we’ll be told:  you wanted it, you ordered it, there will be no changes and no adjustments so …

Just Eat It!

We the American People aren’t going to just eat it – you can try but you won’t shove it down our throats.

 How many times do we have to say it?   We do not want the Government running Our Healthcare System.

 Democrats and the President can concoct whatever they want behind closed doors but as what happened in Massachusetts – payback will come in November and Beyond.

 Throw out that nasty stuff and keep your Promise – Open up the Kitchen so We can cook up something – that we ALL can Enjoy.

 The biggest deduction of TRUST however, was not that the negotiations were not on C-SPAN.

 The biggest deduction of TRUST is the fact that the Government is attempting to take over of the American Healthcare System. 

 The number one thing there is NO Negotiation on is the majority of Americans do not want the Federal Government having centralized Control over their Healthcare in Washington – far from where they are, imposing Mandates that usurp Individual and State Sovereignty, adding layers of Bureaucracy between them and the ones who Deliver their Care. 

 It seems that the existing legislation has this as its Foundation and if that’s so, everything else – built upon it – is flawed. Until we can agree on this, there is no point in building anything together.  On this basis, we CAN move forward with REAL Healthcare Reform.

 You’ve said in the essence of time, it doesn’t make sense to Start Over from Scratch with Healthcare. I know you and others believe there is Good in the existing bills – yet you should also know, when it is done behind closed doors – even the GOOD becomes suspect!

 Adding ultra pure water to a stinky cistern will never produce anything drinkable. Yes it will take time to drain and disinfect the container and those reluctant to do so will say but we’ve come so far – the container is almost full (we are holding onto these Bills and we only need one more vote…) yes, this is true –yet what is being held – stinks. 

 You’ve indicated you want to meet with Republicans and that your Intentions are genuine and true. If this is the case, the fastest way to Produce a Quality Output is to meet with the Leaders of Congress and ask them to find a way to Vote down the existing Bills – to demonstrate to the American people that you and the Congress are on the Same Page.

 Some say you’re going to come to the Healthcare Meeting with your own ideas or a new draft of a bill.  Throughout the summer, you were distanced from the draft bills – some saying none of the drafts were yours – until you actually signed a Bill.  Riding in on a White Horse now with your own draft throws Congress under the Bus.  Mr. President, you cannot advance your Agenda around the Congress by Executive Order.

 The HHS Secretary recently testified before Congress that she could not guarantee Transparency since she was not a Principal in the Legislation. With Our Legislative Process, this Fact applies to you as well Mr. President and unless the Congress is on Board – the meetings with you, however many and however bipartisan, will just be side static and show.

 Why not meet with Leaders of Congress (yes behind closed doors) and figure out a way to move this Process Forward in the Right way. Acknowledge the mistakes that were made together, press the Reset Button – have a congruent message with the Congress that people can agree with, Vote down the Bills, Begin to Restore TRUST and Start Over.

 Today also marks the six month anniversary of the Blog Post: Healthcare Reform is  Dead. This article speaks of Trust and concludes with:

 The TRUST to deliver the “hope and change” that was promised is eroding by the day – and as far as I’m concerned, until public TRUST is restored, it doesn’t matter what is said, health care reform is dead.

 Mr. Obama, in your State of the Union Speech you talked about the deficit of trust in Washington. An interesting way to phrase it I thought. It reminded me of something I heard long ago that…

 Relationships are like bank accounts – we make deposits and we make withdrawals. If we pay attention to our relationship ledger sheet and ask Ourselves: Is what I’m doing here a deposit or a withdrawal?  Like Budgeting 101 if we have many more deposits than we have withdrawals, chances are we will have a Great Relationship.

 Well Mr. President, in reviewing previous Blog Posts and Twitter Tweets – your Trust account, shared by the Democrats in Congress, is more than just a little bit Overdrawn.

 What would Matt Lauer say to weatherman Al Roker if Al came in one day and said he could now CONTROL the weather? Al would soon be announcing Centurion birthdays with Willard Scott.

 Yet what are the qualifications required to be a World Climate Expert?  <Insert Al Gore humor here>

 Most would agree Al Gore is not “the expert” – he’s just the spokesman. Although Spokesman Al does have a pretty high pay grade for being “just” that.

 So who are these Climate Experts? Shouldn’t they have to validate their Power to Control the Climate?

 I mean if Weatherman Al could demonstrate with reliable certainty, that he in fact could control the weather, more people would watch NBC and Weatherman Al would definitely be getting a pay upgrade comparable to that of Climatologist Spokesman Al.

 The point is: We are looking at implementing a World System based on what? A movie?  The opinions of “experts” however many, who have not demonstrated their fix for “the problem” even on a small scale, let alone on a Global scale?

 We are told that Cap and Tax is a way to equalize areas in the World that are negatively effected by the increase in C02 in the atmosphere… Areas of drought and poverty are hit the hardest. Pictures of starving people are placed alongside pictures of successful (cast as inhumane) companies. Questioning the cause-effect relationship between the two prompts an attitude – as if one is questioning the law of Gravity.

 We are told sea levels will wash over New York and that glaciers are melting because global temperatures have risen a degree or two. Nuclear powered ice breakers plow through ice sheets upon which polar bears roam, to reach locations that host reporters – braving 70 degrees below freezing conditions – to tell us about what’s melting.

 Global warming has been repackaged as “climate change” because proponents know that ALL of the world is not always too warm. Some say now that the Blizzard that shut down Washington DC for 3 days and cost many millions of dollars to clean up is the result of Global Warming Climate Change:  the atmosphere is heating up, causing more water vapor to accumulate and in cold areas, this results in heavy snow.

 Note: Although I am not a Climatologist, let me ask: What do we call “water accumulation” in the sky? Clouds. What Color are big puffy clouds that are filled with water? White. Which color generates more Heat under the Sun – puffy white or the dark color of Earth? You see the logical direction… (And yes it’s now proposed that we make blacktop roads and rooftops white!)

 To think we can influence any one of Earth’s massive, complex and self-regulating systems requires more than just a snowjob. True Science does not begin with an endpoint and then fill in the middle however valid that middle might seem.

 Even if we agree the snows in DC were in fact caused by global warming; is the solution to give Citizens and companies affected by the Blizzard a payment?  Who decides who gets paid and how much? Al Gore? The UN or some other International Body?

 Those rallying the loudest for Cap and Tax are impoverished countries and those who want to make the World a better place (while skimming a little off the top for themselves – for administration of course).

 Helping impoverished nations is noble and the US is a leader in Giving. Other nations give as well. Giving can only be done by those who have something to give – just ask Oprah. Giving should not be made mandatory nor wealth placed in the hands of a few to be distributed as THEY see fit. Remember the UN food program?

 Unfortunately there will always be people with less in the world. As the saying goes – taking all of the farmer’s seed corn to feed the hungry, means ALL will have LESS in the fall. The successful baker being taxed to the point of being unable to buy a bigger oven does not create more pie for anyone. Yes, we should help those in need – by building them up and not by reducing the capacity of those who have more or are producing more.

 And to those who say we should have subsidies to encourage energy independence:  The transition to fossil fuel did not require a massive tax on whale oil. Whales became scarce so we found an alternative. Fossil fuel is not scarce – yet we have chosen not to use what WE ourselves have; and continue to pay ransomous sums to other countries for our own fuel. Whose fault is that? 

 Years ago burning fossil fuels produced toxins that were bad – ALL agreed breathing lead, sulfur and other harmful elements was not healthy. Then came the revolutionary invention of the catalytic converter – able to convert toxic exhaust into a gas that we ourselves breath out – harmless carbon dioxide.

 Oops the EPA has recently designated C02 as not harmless – which takes us back to Global Warming Climate Change.

 Alternative energy source development naturally will follow its own course based on market forces. Trying to artificially speed up its arrival is not economically feasible.  Driving up the price of oil to make another energy source more attractive makes no sense unless you are on the receiving end of higher oil prices or a Cap and Tax Administrator.

So lets be honest about the REAL purpose of what’s being proposed and deal with the REAL issues.  Let’s not hide the science nor the intentions via secret emails or under 3 feet of snow.  As for Cap and Tax – Let’s just say NO!
